"We have been so happy with our experience with Idaho Legends! We had considered other competitive club teams, but never felt we found the right fit until Idaho Legends. The club brings a highly competitive experience in which our daughter has been pushed to improve and compete at a high level. The coaches have been outstanding, communicate well, and have created a great culture where the girls are able to learn not just the sport, but teamwork and building character. The price is quite affordable compared to other clubs. Both we and our daughter are very happy with the experience with Idaho Legends and would recommend it to anyone looking for a competitive soccer club."

    —Matt Lindstrom, 2011 Girls Parent

  • "Since joining Idaho Legends Soccer Club, our son has experienced tremendous growth as a player and as a person. Idaho Legends is more than just a club; it is a family that nurtures competitive spirit, sportsmanship, and character development in its athletes, and all at very affordable prices. They have our highest recommendation!"

—Casey and Kyrstin Tindall, 2016’s, 2013’s and 2011’s Boys Parents

  • "Our family joined Idaho Legends to challenge our daughter to play soccer at a higher level of competition without overextending our financial commitments. Legends has allowed our daughter to develop her skills with high-quality coaching, and she's also been able to form friendships with teammates and strengthen her character through playing as a team. In one short season, the team has matured as a group and developed quickly to compete with the best teams in the state. As parents, we look for opportunities to invest in our children, and Idaho Legends has been a big win for our family!"

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect my child to receive in their soccer experience?

The Idaho Legends package is 2-3 practices per week depending on the age group with fall and spring outdoor seasons consisting of 8 games each in IYSA’s District III League.

Coaches typically require local and occasionally traveling tournaments, indoor soccer, or specialty trainings. The offer letter immediately offered after tryouts in June is team-specific and outlines the whole year, so parents get to see what the year entails.

What is the expected commitment?

Each coach sets his/her own expectations for practice locations, attendance, Sunday play requirements, tournaments, winter indoor participation etc. Coaches will be up front about expectations at the time of tryouts when families receive offer letters.

A club-wide expectation is to commit to a soccer year (June to June). Another expectation is that the head coach’s leadership decisions will be fully supported and respected by parents and players in order to avoid dismissal from the club, potentially without a refund. This club has a wonderful reputation, and club leadership truly prioritizes character of its coaches, players, and parents more than it prioritizes the business side.

How do uniforms work?

Uniform kits cost $250. The kit includes two jerseys with your player’s number and last name on them, two pairs of shorts, two pairs of socks, two practice shirts, a jacket, a pair of sweats, and a bag with your player’s name on it.

Uniform kits last for up to 4 seasons; however, a club-wide NEW STYLE uniform kit purchase is required for new and returning families every June of even numbered years.

Where are practices and games, and on which nights of the week and what times?

These decisions are left up to each individual coach. Coaches will have a plan and an offer letter at the time of tryouts with details.

What is the cost of the program?

$250 = Uniforms; due June 30th

$265 = Fall Season; due July 31st

$265 = Spring Season; due January 31st

*The above fees compose the main platform, and parents will be invoiced via email through the website and can then pay online with a debit or credit card.

*Team-specific extra experiences such as indoor soccer, ISL league upgrade, tournaments etc. are additional and will be collected directly by the team’s coach. These will be outlined in the offer letter in June.

Comparison of Same Age Group/Comparable Package:

Local Club #1: $675 in non-uniform year; $925 in uniform year

Local Club #2: $844 in non-uniform year; $1,121 in uniform year

Local Club #3: Up to $1,700 per year depending on age group

Local Club #4: Up to $1,750 per year depending on age group

LEGENDS = $530 in non-uniform year; $780 in uniform year

Are there fundraising opportunities?

Individual teams are allowed to organize their own fundraisers for the team and/or a donor may choose to donate to a team. In this scenario, the money raised or donated would be divided by the number of players on the team and reflected as discounts on the emailed invoices.

In the case of a club-wide donation (all teams), then all families in the club would receive a discount proportionate to the donation.

At what age group does Idaho Legends begin?

The club forms its youngest teams and offers league play beginning with the U9 season. The soccer year is June to June. Often a player can play up for one year and then the following June drop to his/her actual age group.

U9 Soccer Year and DOB’s:

2024-2025 = 2016’s & 2017’s play-ups

2025-2026 = 2017’s & 2018’s play-ups

2026-2027 = 2018’s & 2019’s play-ups

2027-2028 = 2019’s & 2020’s play-ups

2028-2029 = 2020’s & 2021’s play-ups

Goalkeeper Training?

Head coaches will invite two goalkeepers from each team to specialized GK trainings. These sessions are facilitated by an experienced specialist trainer for 8 consecutive weeks each season on Fridays. The costs are covered by the club and no extra charge for goalkeeper parents.

Goalkeeper Training Sessions

How do I indicate I’m interested in coaching?

Interested coaches should fill out an inquiry form at the bottom of the website. All head and assistant coaches are required to pass a background check and complete online trainings. Legends coaches are typically moms/dads, uncles/aunts who are soccer-knowledgeable individuals and know they are skilled at leading a group of parents and players. Legends coaches do not typically receive monetary compensation; however, their coach’s attire is covered, and the following equipment is provided for them:

18.5 x 6.5 ft pop-up goals, 4 x 6 Pugg goals, cones, pinnies, agility poles, set of soccer balls, team bench, 5 gallon bucket with everything needed to put up net.

Additionally, Legends coaches wanting to pursue grassroots license credentials will be reimbursed by the club.

Current coaches will tell you that they love the autonomy to design the year’s adventure for their group while being supported by club leadership.
